The NSE HT DCDC 600-5.0/1200 (3000 Watt) is a high temperature DCDC converter for demanding applications. It is targeted at downhole wireline and drilling tools or other industrial applications where high temperature and large input variation in voltage may occur. The unit has integrated short circuit protection of the 600Vdc output.

The DCDC converter uses CAN bus for communication interface.

The input range of the DCDC converter is from 600 to 1200 Volts for normal operation. In addition the converter has an overvoltage protection which can handle up to 1500 Volt transients.

This unit has an integrated downhole modem (telemetry system) – within the same physical size. The modem handles the 2.5kW and provides data rates up to 200kbit/s.
